Offering Master of Fine Arts Degree Programs Online
In April 2005, Miami International University of Art & Design began offering online Master of Fine Arts degree programs in Graphic Design and Computer Animation. Each online Master of Fine Arts degree program at Miami International University of Art & Design has been designed using the same curriculum delivered on ground. The difference, however, is that what once had to occur at a set time and place is now available at each student's convenience through his or her computer and the Internet. These online programs offer a forum for advanced study that integrates art history, advanced studio exploration and experimentation. Graduate-level students study and explore their chosen discipline from many different aspects, depending on each student's individual interests and experimentation.
As a student in the online Master of Fine Arts in Computer Animation degree program, you'll:
- Study computer animation from many different aspects, based on your individual interests and experimentation
- Develop a significant body of work that reflects your personal artistic vision, creating the foundation for a professional career in computer animation.
- Conduct a historical exploration of computer animation techniques and the philosophy of aesthetics.
- Refine your ability to combine artistic talent with technological skills through creative studio work
- Build advanced computer animation skills and gain specialized knowledge in animation art direction, technical direction, production and artistic concepts
- Culminate the program with a master's thesis that will demonstrate your advanced understanding of computer animation concepts and techniques
